Mindfulness and meditation are often used interchangeably.
It can be thought of as the intention to be present in the here and now, fully engaged in whatever is happening, free from distraction or judgement, with a soft and open mind. I like to add with non-judgemental awareness. When we are mindful we are in immediate contact with our experience, with heart and mind open and thus more available to our lives and those around us.
